newshadeimageVampires have been a big part of our society for ages and recently they are everywhere in our entertainment. Movies, television shows, books, games, and even clothing. Vampires are enticing, exciting, and immortal, much like the written word. I recently had the opportunity to read the book A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest and I was instantly drawn to it. The story line pulls you in, the imagery is so vivid you can “see” the journey the heroine, Sofia Claremont, has and if you are a romance fan or a paranormal fan, then this is the book for you.

Sofia Claremont has just turned 17 years old. She is very wise for her age and aware of her surroundings, attuned to her senses, which makes her abduction a shock. Sofia is abducted to be presented to the prince of the Blood Shade, Derek Novak. Even though she is a captive in a vampire coven, she shows no fear, she is strong in mind and body and refuses to play the victim. As unique a love story as it is, it has a classic feel to it. Jealousy, pride, fury, lust, trust, and an edge of fear make the romance real. It is what every good romance novel has in common and Bella Forrest has done an excellent job in portraying those emotions in this story.

This is not your typical vampire book nor is it a typical romance book. It will make you wonder, it will make you question, and it will be hard to put down. A Shade of Vampire is available on AmazonĀ in paperback for $4.14 on sale now and in Kindle edition for $3.99.
