Prior to beginning to use coupons and stockpiling to save money on grceries, I would buy almost all private label brands. I knew that most private label brands are cheaper because they don’t have to advertise, yet their produducts are just as good if not better than the bigger brands. So it was a great solution for me.
Once I started using coupons I switched to some name brands and started shopping at stores like Kroger® that have great coupon policies. Yet, products like deli cheese, deli meats, and bakery items are really hard to find coupons for so I tend to still go for the private label brands on those types of items. Rolls, deli meats, and cheese are staples in my household because we like to be able to make a sandwich as a quick “on the go” snack that isn’t super unhealthy. Our other must-have staple is frozen pizza for those nights where I just don’t have the energy to cook but don’t want to have to buy fast food. All of these staple items can be found in the Kroger® Private Selection® brand. What staples does your family have to have on hand? Could you save money by purchasing them in the Kroger® Private Selection® brand?
Kroger® Private Selection® is a private label brand available exclusively at Kroger® (and Kroger®’s family of stoes like Fred Meyer, Ralph’s, Smith’s, etc) for gourmet foods including deli meats, cheeses, frozen foods, and bakery items and more! Check out the Store Locator to find one near you where you can purchase these items.
While I haven’t tried Kroger® Private Selection® brand foods yet, I am excited to learn about the brand and look forward to trying them when I get a chance. This weekend is my anniversary and being able to get gourmet foods at value prices makes me think that Private Selection® would be a great brand to look to for buying foods to make a romantic anniversary dinner at home without going over budget.
Meanwhile, Kroger® Private Selection® is running a sweepstakes! You’ll want to check out the Sweepstakes Rules, but in short the grand prize winner will get a brand new range, a 26 piece knife set, a 10 piece cookware set, and a $1000 Kroger® family stores gift card!
