I participated in a Blog Blast program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.
I like staying involved in my nieces, nephews and kid sisters lives. I tag along to plays, musicals, sporting events, and doctors appointments for them among other things. When we find ourselves in a waiting room or in the car for long periods, it’s so convenient to be able to hand them a tablet or smartphone to watch a movie or play games on. Yet, these devices can so easily lead children to content that isn’t age appropriate for them. Kidoodle.TV is designed to help children ages 12 and under stay safe and avoid mature content while on devices. Like so many adults, I sometimes give my gadgets to a range of kids – Drew enjoys them at 3 and my 10.5 year old sister does too. While they both need to be shielded from adult content, my sister is able to handle some content that 3 year old Drew isn’t. Kidoodle lets you create up to five different profiles so that you can customize settings to that child’s age or needs.

Great post – thanks! I held back on letting my kids have the iPad for a while but then gave in!

I need to try this! My 2 year old really likes my iPad … am thinking about getting him a tablet!

My friend’s brother just got in trouble today for trying to access bad sites on his new iPad. He’s only 13, and I was telling her about all the cool programs to lock up what they watch. I’ll make sure to add this to the list. Thanks!
