When I have downtime, I like to search the internet for clothing and accessories and put together outfits. I love browsing the Fashion section of Pinterest and getting inspiration. Sometimes I even put together outfits for specific events coming up in my life. For example, we are planning to visit Lake Michigan this summer. We like to go to cities that have places to shop and restaurants to try out, so I always bring clothing to put on over my suit. When it comes to beach outfits, I like keeping my color schemes really simple but tied together so I often focus on a couple of simple, solid colors. I like to either wear a flowy dress or a top that has a breezy feel to it.
I put together this breezy beach outfit from items available at Scoop NYC. I think it would be perfect for a day of a beach vacation. The top, Bonheur Sleeveless Cotton Top With Embroidery is my favorite item as it really pulls the entire look together. It looks so comfortable and has that flowy look and feel that just yells begs to be worn at the beach. For everything else in the outfit, I just stuck to simple black or white to keep the focus on the top. For bottoms, I chose Frame Denim Le Cutoff Shorts. They continue the relaxed, beach theme because they have a destroyed finish that makes them appear so relaxed and casual. I need a bigger purse so that it can double as a beach bag, so I went with the Lotuff Leather medium tote. Of course, you need a pair of sunnies for the beach and I love the statement that these Tom Ford Franklin Sunglasses make.
Maybe I’m a hippy at heart but whenever I think about the beach I think of beaded jewelry! I thought that the Perepaix Agate & leather breaded bracelet was a great way to stick to my black and white accessory theme as well as the beach theme because of the beads. If I’m going to be around lots of sand, I want to keep my shoes really basic so I went with Scoop Patent Flip Flops that are white on top. They’re super basic so I can wear them with tons of other outfits all summer long, getting more bang for my buck.
All of the items in this outfit can be found at Scoop NYC.
What do you think about this breezy beach outfit? Would you wear this on vacation? Anything you would add or change?
