Now that school is back in session, many of us are being hit up to purchase from fundraisers. As a kid I participated in fundraisers for school, girl scouts, and sports teams. In each case the money raised provided me with experiences that I may not have been able to have otherwise. We were able to go on field trips, visit museums and buy uniforms. While I always buy from the kids in my family, it’s a little frustrating to have to buy from the same fundraiser for multiple kids. Sometimes even if two kids have different fundraisers the items they sell are so similar that it feels the same.
Funds2Org has a really neat program for groups who are looking to raise funds that you definitely won’t run into other groups selling because it isn’t selling anything. Instead, the Funds2Org fundraisers collect used shoes! In return, your organization will be given cash for the used shoes. It’s a great option for low-income families that can’t afford to purchase from fundraisers but who may have some outgrown shoes to donate. In addition to being a unique way to raise money for your group, you can feel great about helping the earth. The shoes will be kept out of landfills and will help business owners in developing areas like Haiti and Africa by providing them with the shoes to re-purpose.
Funds2Org also offers a free micro-enterprise curriculum for download. The curriculum is available in four levels including elementary, middle school, high school and homeschool varieties. It goes over general business, general marketing, micro-enterprise fundamentals, creating a micro-enterprise business plan, and finance. Visit the Funds2Org website to download the curriculum.

Hi Emiily, My name is Teresa Luke and I recently contacted funds2org about doing a fundraiser for my church,
with whom we are trying to raise money to build another church. The church did wanted to know more about the
organization as to its legitimacy,so that we want have any problems with this. I have read some reviews and checked it out on the BBB site, but I thought that I can reach out to someone who might know them first hand
and can give me some info on them. I would appreciate any information that you can give me. -
