Did you know that an estimated 1 out of 6 children ages 4-12 years old suffers from nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting)? Children can’t control or be trained out of bedwetting, it’s simply something they have to wait to outgrow. It’s really quite common but sadly, many children who suffer from bedwetting experience negative emotions as a result – many feel guilty or ashamed while others simply feel like they are alone in their struggles.
My nephew potty trained during the day at a typical age and as soon as he was day-time potty trained, he had no interest in wearing diapers for nap or bedtime. He wanted to rid himself of diapers entirely because he viewed them as being something just for babies. He wasn’t only waking up dry about half the time, but for a while we suspected that it was just the last portion of potty training for him. Once he hit age 4 and was still not waking up dry regularly, it became clear that wasn’t the case.
He started pre-kindergarten this past fall so him waking up wet became more problematic. If his pajamas and bedding were wet, then the odor would cover his whole body so he had to wake up even earlier than usual for showers which was really hard to manage when he was still adjusting to his school schedule. Now at age 4, without having worn diapers or any type of protection for almost two years, he was really resistant to the idea of wearing anything other than underwear. He’s usually a very calm and easy kid to negotiate with but he really dug his heels in at the idea of wearing anything but underwear at night – it was easy to see in his expression that the idea really damaged his self-confidence.
GoodNites* TRU-FIT* are a revolutionary option for bedwetting protection. GoodNites* TRU-FIT* are exactly like traditional children’s underwear, except they have an opening inside where you place the disposable insert that is absorbent. This way, you only need a few pairs of GoodNites* TRU-FIT* underwear (they are machine washable), and with each use you simply change the liner out.
GoodNites* TRU-FIT* protection is an ideal solution for my nephew because they are regular underwear that he’ doesn’t mind wearing but when the disposable liners are added to them, they keep him and his bed dry all night long so he doesn’t have to wake up really early for school. They’ll also be wonderful for older children who want to have friends over or go to sleep overs because they are so discreet. The underwear come in bright, colorful stripes and other designs that appeal to children. From the outside they look just like any other pair of underwear, so even if a friend sees the top of them poking out from pajama pants, there will be no way for them to detect that they are actually a form of nighttime protection for your child. They’re also a great solution for parents because your children’s pajamas and bedding will remain dry so there is less laundry to deal with.
Research has shown that many children with nocturnal enuresis struggle to enjoy fun activities like a sleepover or lock-ins because of embarrassment. No child should have to turn down the joy and memories that come from these fun social events as a result of a condition that they have no control over.

We love Goodnights and use them when our kids were small. So comfy and no leaks !
We’ve really come a long way discussing this topic and making it more acceptable and less shameful. I’ve heard nothing but good things about GoodNites products and kids don’t mind wearing them.
