Thank you GotchaCoveredNotebooks.com for providing me with journals for review. All opinions are my own.
Later today I am going to be going to my little sisters 12th birthday party. It makes me feel so old that she was born 12 years ago because it feels like it’s only been a few years. She’s getting to an age where it’s a bit harder to buy gifts because she’s growing out of playing with toys. Her name has a unique spelling so I’ve always enjoyed getting her personalized gifts, but I think personalized gifts are particularly cool during the tween and teen years when kids are trying to figure out who they are and express themselves.
Jorden likes chevron and zebra print so I ordered her two Gotcha Covered notebooks. Both of these notebooks are spiral bound, the big one is the “pink zebra” theme and is 8.5″ by 11″ in size. The smaller one is called “chevron heart” theme and is 5.5″ by 8.5″ in size. Both journals allow a name to be added to the cover, and you can leave a personalized message on the back cover as well. I opted to leave the back note area blank and just left her name on the front.
I know that she’ll get use out of these probably both for school and for fun. She’s the only girl in her school with her name spelled the way it is, so there will be no mixing up of notebooks. I purchased a package of ink pens that come with each pen having ink in a different color, spanning most of the rainbow. Jorden likes to doodle with brightly colored ink so I thought pairing the pens with these fun journals made for the perfect gift for a 12 year old.
Gotcha Covered Notebooks has a range of designs (over 200!) including options for both boys and girls, plus designs that would appeal to much younger children. Be sure to keep them in mind during back to school shopping in a couple months!
