This is great for recent grads! My daughter is in college now for education. I hope she’ll be able to find a job when she graduates!
-
There really seems to be a huge market for great teachers. My son-in-law is a nurse and had no trouble finding a great job. Certain professions are always needed.

What a great opportunity for those who need it. I know my teen son wants to go to college to become a prosecuting attorney. I have no money to help him. Things like these will come in handy in deciding his future.
-
This is THE perfect way to give back! Investing in young adults heading to school and into the work force tends to fall by the wayside, so I’m so glad to hear that Fifth Third Bank is doing this for them!
-
It’s so nice that Fifth Third recognizes the issues college graduates are having these days. My son uses that bank.

My son recently received his Masters and he started his first day of work today as a Vocational Rehab Counselor. He told me that every time he was called in for an interview during college, he always got the job. He also got the first job he interviewed for once he received his degree. Maybe he read your tips! They’re great!

This sounds like an awesome program. I was lucky to get a job shortly after graduating but I am glad this program is out there. Students work so hard in school just to struggle when they are done.
-
Sounds like an amazing program. I’m telling this to my little sisters who just graduated. Great tips!

I’m thinking big kudos to Fifth Third. I’m looking for a job here…actually a career. It’s been awhile, I’m excited to get back at it.

Great information and so important for those in this situation. I think internships as seniors can really do so much for helping set you up with a lead following graduation.
-
I think this is such a great idea! When I graduated from college, I knew exactly what jobs I needed to apply for and what my degree had equipted me to do. Now it’s not quite so easy.

This is a great article for newly grads. A lot of frustration for newly grads is the lack of experience as most companies require that.
-
That is awesome! I bet that is going to be a big help to the newly graduates. I do know how hard it is to find a new job when you just graduated.
-
I’m going to tell my son to get one of these. He just graduated and is searching for a full time job.

This is a great program for graduates. It is so hard to find jobs in a lot of fields these days.

So many great tips here. There is so much I wish I had known when I went back to turn my AA into a BA. I then took 6 weeks off after finishing my BA and went for my MBA. Not sure why other then I felt like I had to in order to get ahead since so many entry level jobs were skipping over people with AA and wanting BA. I’ve done my time with entry level in my field. 2 years later and I still don’t have my dream job in my field so I just keep freelancing and that works ok for me.

Great tips! My husband had some job coaching when he was done in college and it was really helpful! I think its a great idea, and grads can use any help they can get!

I’m always nervous for friends whose children have recently graduated. It is really tough out there, and being turned down time after time can wreak havoc on a young person’s self-esteem.
-
This coaching package will surely come in handy. It’s a tough world out there; competition is tough and fresh grads will need all the help and guidance they can get to make them equip for the next big thing in their lives.
-
This is a wonderful resource. I think it is important to inspire our graduates rather than scare them about not being able to find a job.
-
I remember how hard it was to get a job after I got my associates degree. By the time I got that, then employers wanted a bachelor’s degree. I got that degree right around the time the housing market crash. When I was laid off, I figured getting another job would be easy. Not so much. It was very difficult because I had no experience.
-
My cousin just graduated and has been having a hard time finding a job. I had no idea it was such a struggle, I am sending him this link.

My daughter graduated from college in December and was very fortunate to already have a job. She did an internship during college and they hired her on once she had her degree.

Great post, I was fortunate enough to get a graduate job before I even finish my final exam at university. I took the initiative to look months before i finished and also checking all revenues not just online.

I think this is such a great idea. Sometimes, all anyone needs is a helping hand to get going.
