Getting a job is tough. Did you know that on average, 200 people apply for every job opening? Yet just 2% of them will get an interview*. A shocking 50% of all job openings aren’t posted online**. After learning this, I wasn’t too surprised that more than half of recent graduates do not have full time jobs. This blog post is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, and I am eager to share with you how they are helping new graduates find careers after college. I know that securing the first job after college is a big struggle for many people right now. If you or your child have recently graduated college, it’s important to do everything you can to be more prepared and proactive than other grads that you’re competing with for a position. If you’re relying on finding job positions online, you’re missing out on half of the opportunities out there.

College graduate career coaching
Fifth Third Bank understands that getting the degree is just the beginning, and that modern day graduates are having a tough time finding careers in their field. To help out, they have created a contest that will provide NextJob one-on-one job coaching to up to 1,000 recent graduates. The contest is being called the Brand Of You contest, and the total value of the coaching that will be handed out is $1 million! Up to 80 winners will be selected each week, and each of them will be matched with a personal job coach from NextJob, which will help them land a job. NextJob is a national employment assistance firm that can help you land a job 3x quicker than if you were to on your own**.

The coaching package includes interview prep and coaching, enhancement of LinkedIn and Twitter profiles, help finding unlisted jobs, personal resume editing, career and personality testing to find more opportunities, and flexible scheduling.
Every single person who enters the contest will get access to NextJob’s proprietary online training toolkit!
Ready to enter? Go to twitter and tweet using the hashtags #53enter and #BrandOfYou while sharing why YOU deserve one-on-one job coaching from NextJob. You can submit one entry per day for the normal entry periods (which take place each week through 7/20). There will also be a live event on July 8th, and you  can enter once per live event.
