I have been provided with a Nutrisystem plan in exchange for sharing my honest experience and results on my blog. All opinions are my own.
Taking and comparing last weeks results pictures were such a great motivational boost for Ryan. We had planned to spend four days at my grandpa’s cabin on a mini-vacation with other family members. We usually eat as a large group while at the cabin, so I wasn’t sure if it would be harder for Ryan to stick to his Nutrisystem foods while at the cabin or not. He really didn’t struggle with temptation at all, and just stuck to his plan with ease. We spent plenty of time outside while at the cabin, fishing (though we didn’t catch anything big enough to keep) and relaxing but we didn’t workout like we have been doing here at home. I thought we would make up for lost exercising time once we got home.
We got home Saturday afternoon and Ryan seemed surprisingly tired. So, it wasn’t a big shock when he woke up the next morning feeling really sick. He’s still been feeling pretty sick and he hasn’t been able to exercise since we got back as a result of not feeling well. He’s still been doing pretty well with sticking to Nutrisystem though. A big benefit of Nutrisystem is how quickly the foods can cook, because it doesn’t take much energy to prepare the meals or snacks.
Ryan is only down one pound from last week, bringing him to a total of exactly 20 pounds lost. While hitting #20 is exciting, it’s a bit disappointing that this week only brought in a loss of one pound because it’s his smallest loss in a single week so far. However, I think any progress is great and I think it’s understandable that tough weeks like we’ve had will result in less progress.
Thankfully, Ryan isn’t feeling quite as bad today as he has in the past few days so I am hopeful that tomorrow or the next day we will be able to start exercising every other day like usual.
