I was sent a Sample box from PinchMe in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own.
You may recall that a couple of weeks ago I did a review of PinchMe’s Mommy & baby sample box. It was a box that was sent to me through a special blogger program, but it was designed to show a rough example of what a PinchMe sample box could include. Each month the items inside are different, but sample boxes from PinchMe can include beauty and personal care products, baby and child products, household products and more. You do not have to be a blogger to get PinchMe boxes, and they are completely free. You don’t have to put in credit card or any other payment information to get a box. PinchMe works with brands who are interested in having the public sample their products and enjoy them enough to purchase later on. So their benefit is just getting their products tested first hand by everyday people, there are no strings attached. You don’t have to blog, tweet or share about your samples.

Last week I was sent a sample box to show you another idea of what your box could include. This box didn’t have a specific theme. It was snowing hard last week when the box arrived, and I didn’t hear it get delivered so it had a few inches of snow on top of it when I did find it. I was glad that PinchMe had wrapped the package in brown paper and the inner box was completely dry! Awesome packaging job on their behalf.

Inside the first item I saw was SkinnyPop in chocolate. I like this brand because their popcorn is low in calories, uses no GMOs, and doesn’t use artificial ingredients. I had tried several types of SkinnyPop before but never the chocolate, so it was neat to get to try it for free. The box also had a 7 day supply of Align probiotic. This is great for anyone who deals with belly troubles or irregularity or who is interested in probiotics in general.

It also included Sugru – a super unique product that is moldable and can be used to repair damaged cords. For example, if your phone charging cord has wires exposed you mold Sugru around the area where the wires are exposed and once dry the Sugru stays in place to protect the damaged area. A garnier sunscreen and moisturizer combo was also included. I am excited to try it because it’s oil free and i’m sensitive to oily feeling lotions and sunscreens. An anti-aging creme from Gold bond as well.
The last two items were both haircare. I was excited to get Garnier whole blends honey shampoo. I moved in November and the water difference here seems to really alter the way my hair behaves. I’ve been dealing with dry, brittle hair at times but it also gets build up often so I’ve been having to use an anti-residue shampoo once a week to remove build up. My hair has also gotten really “poofy” compared to my usual straight hair. It’s been a frustrating process and I keep trying new shampoos in hopes of finding something that helps. So, I’m all about trying new shampoos right now and this Garnier whole blends honey shampoo and conditioner smell great. After a single wash my hair felt less dry. I’ve only used it once so far but i’m hoping it continues without causing build up or getting weighed down. We’ll see!

The last hair sample wasn’t really a sample at all, it was a full 4oz tube of hair cream. I wasn’t familiar with this but it’s designed to hold hair in place while also creating a shine. Ryan uses hair spray but has been looking for something with a better hold that doesn’t leave his hair feeling weighed down. This had less hold to it than normal hairspray, and creates a very clear wet/shine look. After looking it up online I realized it’s #1 selling point is the shine, not the hold so that made sense. He doesn’t care for that wet look so this was a no-go for him but for young men who are doing the ‘hipster’ hair looks that slick back this would be a great sample seems how it’s so generously sized.
If you want to get a box of PinchMe samples during tomorrow’s sample tuesday sign up now. Set an alarm on your phone for around 11:45am ET tomorrow so you can be on the website right at noon to claim your box. They go fast!

It good to see what the PinchMe boxes look like. I have tried the Align sample and liked it. I get way too many hair care samples that just pile up. Those seem to be popular to include. I like the try before you buy concept though.

I really like getting free samples in the mail!

These are some great samples! I love the popcorn too but didn’t know they have a chocolate one. I like it because it tastes so good plus I have to watch my sodium. I’m going to try to get a box soon – thanks for sharing how to do it.

This looks like a fun box to enjoy. I’d especially like to try the SkinnyPop popcorn in chocolate. Hmm I wonder how hard it is to make! I wouldn’t mind eating all my flops until I perfect it.

This is great to know about, thank you!
