My sister is working on planning her wedding. They are still in the very early stages of planning, and don’t have a specific date yet. The same applies for silver – there’s dark grey-ish silver, a chrome-style silver, glittery silver, sparkly silver, almost-white silver and so on.
After looking over all the ‘types’ of gold and silver, she realized she would need to sit down with her husband-to-be to decide on an exact shade before moving forward. At each step of the planning process, we’ll need to look at decorations, materials and products in person to make sure the hue matches closely. This will be a big chore in many cases, but I know it won’t be a problem when it comes to her announcements and invites.

I have no advice whatsoever! There is so much more out there than there was years ago. Narrowing the colors down would be aa great start- youre right, there are so many shades of gold and silver. Perhaps changing one or the other as both are very very shiny. I thnk they would be beautiful together but one would have to be very muted.
