I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is next week. As we all start preparing for the holiday season most of us think about family and spending time together. I think that the heart of almost every holiday is family. I wonder how often we underestimate the importance of atmosphere. I know that I feel more comfortable staying at a holiday party for a long period of time if I feel relaxed and comfortable. Creating a welcoming atmosphere can go a long way at making your guests feel at home. When working on your atmosphere, take the scent of your home into consideration. Febreze created this cute video for the 12 stinks of Christmas. Keep these odor-sources in mind for hosting this holiday season and keep Febreze on hand to help tackle them!

This video highlights the 12 stinks of Christmas. I can’t get over how cute Doug The Pug is!

The 12 stinks of Christmas:

12 musty stockings. Whether you’ve been storing your stockings in the basement or the attic, they likely are not smelling fresh. Give them new life with Febreze fabric refresher!

11 burnt cookies. About batch 3 or 4 I tend to get distracted and leave the cookies in for too long. That burnt smell will hang around for hours if you don’t combat it with Febreze air effects.

10 flushes per minute. Having a lot of guests means lots of traffic to the bathroom. Keep a Febreze NOTICEables in the bathroom.

9 casseroles a-cookin. Even when individual dishes smell great, the combination can be a little off-putting. Light a Febreze candle in the kitchen or dining room to help squash that onion smell.

8 frying Latkes. While latkes are delicious , that greasy potato smell hanging around is far less pleasant. Febreze air effects is the perfect way to clear the air.

7 diaper bins. While extended family will be excited to pass the baby around for snuggles and to play peek-a-boo, nobody wants to smell the diaper pail. A Febreze candle in the nursery can keep odors from seeping into other space.s

6 boys in one bedroom. Is your college student coming home with all that dirty laundry for their holiday break? Put a Febreze NOTICEable in his bedroom or the laundry room to keep your whole home from smelling like a dorm room.

5 pugs in sweaters. You might be dressing up your dogs in an adorable Christmas sweater but that doesn’t mean they’ll smell like a pine tree.

4 impromptu guests. The holiday season is about family, and they might stop over unexpectedly from time to time. Be prepared to cover stale odors with Febreze air effects before opening the door.

3 smelly chairs. Is your furniture well used and love, or even rustic or antique? Refresh cloth furniture using fabric spray, or plug-in a NOTICEable near hard furniture or antiques.

2 mounds of mess. When you get busy cooking, shopping, and wrapping it’s easy to fall behind on laundry. Freshen up the pile of dirty laundry and the hamper with Febreze fabric spray.

1 family that really needs Febreze!
