I was sent a Nolah mattress for review. All opinions are my own.
Back in October I shared my Nolah Mattress Review. I discussed my first impressions of the mattress but I hadn’t owned it very long. I said I would update my review after a while so that I could give a more thorough review. In the past I have purchased furniture that starts off comfortable but diminishes in comfort, firmness or just shape in general after just a month or two.
I have had the mattress for just under 120 days now. This is significant because Nolah lets you test drive their mattress for 120 nights! If you change your mind at any point in that 120 day trial period Nolah will pay to pickup the mattress and donate it to a local charity while providing you with a full refund.
These two both sleep easy on our Nolah mattress!
I personally haven’t changed my thoughts or feelings about the Nolah mattress at all since I published my original review. The mattress still looks and feels brand new. I haven’t had any back pain or discomfort. There are no signs of wear on the mattress itself, or it’s overall shape or structure. I feel as if anyone who takes the 120 Nolah Mattress trial would find the 120 days to be sufficient time to test the mattress.
When you buy a Nolah mattress you get to virtually adopt an animal. I chose a dolphin, but there were several species to choose from. A while after my mattress arrived I got mail telling me about dolphins and giving me an adoption certificate.
Since we got this mattress I have talked about it with several family members and friends. It seems like so many people put off buying a new mattress. We really forget how much of our lives we spend in bed! It’s definitely a product that is worth prioritizing in my opinion.
I notice two main differences between our old mattress and our Nolah mattress. One difference being the shape of this mattress. The Nolah holds it’s shape, regardless of where weight is distributed on the bed. It doesn’t sink in around me or Ryan despite our weight. I am 10 inches shorter than Ryan, and we have about an 80 pound weight difference as well. On our old mattress, I would feel like I was being tilted towards him if we were to lay near (But not touching) each other. Now I can lay 2 feet away from him, or a foot away, or 6 inches away and in any spot I don’t feel like the mattress is forcing me to roll back onto him.
The other main difference with this mattress is the firmness. I never really thought of myself as someone who would want a firm mattress. I’ve had sleepovers at older family members’ houses who have really old, hard squeaky mattresses and I did not like those one bit. In my mind, that was what a firm mattress was. The Nolah is firm in the sense that if I cannon ball onto it, I don’t bounce back up off the mattress like a trampoline. Instead the mattress just absorbs the impact of my jump and I land softly. It’s certainly more firm than my old mattress, but it’s still very comfortable. It seems to let you “sink in” just enough to prevent that feeling like you are being pushed back against, without being so soft that you sink into a hole.
I’m still really happy with our Nolah mattress and would definitely recommend this brand to anyone considering a new mattress.

I bought a Nolah mattress a year ago and have been very pleased with it. We were able to easily carry the box up narrow winding stairs and unbox effortlessly. Removing the old mattress was a real pain in the neck compared to installing the Nolah. I would definitely purchase one again and recommend investigating this company to see if a Nolah mattress is for you. Look around for codes for discounts.

How is it for lighter-weight back sleepers? I’m considering this mattress, and have a bad back, but most foam mattresses don’t sink enough under my weight and I’m left on top with little support for my lower back. Do you feel like it supports your lower back well? Is it as cool as they advertise?

has this mattress left any “dips” now after having it for a while? I am a side sleeper and so is my hubby our current sleep number is the worst it dips into the middle and messes up our hips and shoulders. I read somewhere that the edge was not that strong, have you noticed this? and that durability is unclear as it is a fairly new company.
Sounds like a great mattress and one I will definitely look into as my new mattress!! Sounds like your loving yours!
