I am a Nutrisystem nation blogger. I am provided with a Nutrisystem meal plan in return for regular updates. All opinions are my own.

Nutrisystem has a really broad menu. I’ve mentioned many times before that their variety is enough to keep you from repeating foods too often – even if you’re picky. That is absolutely true. However, that doesn’t mean that every food Ryan ever craves is available in some form on Nutrisystem. For example, we love tacos in this house and there is no Nutrisystem taco option.

However, I did find this really creative Nutrisystem taco salad option that we are excited to try! It utilizes a Nutrisystem Chili With Beans item (1 Nutrisystem Dinner). You combine it with 1oz of whole wheat tortilla chips (Smart Carb) 1/4 cup light cheddar cheese (PowerFuel), 3 cups of shredded lettuce (veggies), and 1 whole medium tomato (veggies).

Now it is important to note that Nutrisystem dinners do not usually get paired iwth a PowerFuel or a SmartCarb like lunch does. So you could use this for lunch and then eat a lunch entree at dinner time. Or you could avoid eating a SmartCarb and PowerFuel from earlier in the day and save them for use at lunch.

Here is a video by Nutrisystem showing this recipe.

If you are missing out on your old favorites, checking out the Nutrisystem provided recipes is a great way to find inspiration. The menu is pretty varied to begin wtih, but getting creative with the entrees just opens up your options even further. This taco salad recipe would have been a perfect way to splurge during cinco de mayo!
