I was sent candles from Bright Endeavors for my gift guide. All opinions are my own.
Many of us think about giving back and helping others in need more in December than at any other time of year. Holiday shopping is a great chance to spend your dollars in places that can help communities or people in need.
Bright Endeavors is a company designed to help young mothers in poverty. Bright Endeavors offers a paid jobs program for young mothers living in poverty to help them to gain skills while working to secure quality employment. They believe that helping moms in need is beneficial because it not only helps the mother, but also her children! Of course the kids live better lives when their mom is happier, more successful and more secure in life.
I was sent candles for my gift guide last year. I absolutely loved the candles! They are very long lasting, with the 11oz signature candles burning for 40 hours. They burn cleanly and evenly, and give off a gorgeous scent. Even without being lit, I can catch the faint scent of the candles while walking past!
These would be great as gifts for anyone who uses candles. The back of each candle box gives you a quick overview of how the program helps young mothers. It also has a line where the person who made the candle writes their name. It’s a really sweet, personal touch that reminds you that you truly have helped a real person.
I also love how the program is based out of Chicago. It feels great to help support businesses that treat their local employees well.
The signature soy class candles are 11oz and sell for $24.99. However, the holiday signature set includes 3 signature candles and is just $65 total so it saves you a little money. All of the scents included in this set smell great. My personal favorite is the holiday citrus. It’s soothing and homey while also being fresh thanks to the citrus.

These candles sounds amazing, and I love that they are handmade (and their name is written on the box!)! 🙂 I am a bit candle obsessed, and pretty much have one in every room of my house. I definitely need to try this brand, thanks for sharing!

I like companies that help people. I also like soy candles better than wax ones.

This is nice this is based in the USA.I like how it focuses on giving people skills to work, and gives them purpose. I like too how each candle is signed so you know there is a real person behind each one. I also love the size of these.

Its wonderful when companies give back. Soy candles are the best. I’ll have to remenber them when I am buying candles. I always have one burning in my kitchen.

I would normally say that’s a little high for a candle in my budget. But a friend of mine was telling me it was the best candle she ever had.
Pumpkin Chai, etc.–they sound like wonderfully inviting scents that would really create an atmosphere!
