I was sent an iDo3D print shop for my holiday gift guide. All opinions are my own.
More of my nieces and nephews are moving towards the preteen and early teen years. They are leaving baby dolls and superman capes behind. I find it a little harder to shop for older kids. I aim for gifts that they will get a lot of use out of, and for older kids that means it has to be engaging in some way. I often find myself leaning towards gifts that let them use a lot of creativity, whether it is hands-on or just in their imagination.
IDo3D offers a line of 3D printing items for kids. The Print Shop comes with pre-made molds and reusable Formula 4D cloning compound, that lets kids make their own creations. It uses special ink and an LED light to cure the creations you make, in a safe and easy way. With practice you can learn to make art, jewelry, toy vehicles, construction bricks, collectibles, fashion accessories, figures and more. You can clone items that you already own, or you can design items completely from scratch.
My 11 year old niece is into collecting these very small animal figurines right now. I plan to give her the print shop for Christmas. I can see her cloning all of her little animal toys to make “twins” of them, or maybe even a whole matching family to play with.
I also like how this may spark kids’ interests in 3D printing in general. As that technology gets more popular, I think it would be awesome to have a kid find themselves very interested in making their own designs. Perhaps it could lead them to learning more and taking up a new hobby.
The IDo3D print shop is available on Amazon for around $50. You can also visit the IDo3D website to see where else it is available.

My daughter would love this! I have her Christmas presents bought already but her birthday is in two months and this might be a good idea.

I just got this for my kiddo. I can’t wait to try it.
I like that. I am interested in 3D printing too. I would like a set for me to play with. Thank you for the review.
