5 ways to save money when shopping online

I partnered with Dealspotr on this sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

1.  Wait to order until you need enough to meet the minimum for free shipping. A quick way to waste money when shopping online is placing several small orders and paying for shipping each time. Try to plan ahead so you can wait and place one larger order and have the total value high enough to qualify for the free shipping minimum that most websites offer.

2. Check prices across multiple websites. Particularly for higher-end items, you may find significant price discrepancies from one retailer to the next.

3. Buy in bulk if it’s something you use a lot. Many of us buy everyday items like toilet tissue, household cleaners, even groceries online. If you are purchasing an item that your family uses a lot of and that won’t expire too quickly, buying the bulk pack will probably be cheaper long-run, but always double-check price per unit first.

4. Use a credit card that earns you cash back. I have a credit card with pretty good cash-back rewards, so I use it and pay it off each month just to earn the cash back.

5. Use discount codes from Dealspotr. Dealspotr has 4x more working promo codes than similar coupon sites, and fewer expired codes! This is largely due to the 20,000 active members that Dealspotr has! They are able to add new deals, edit deals, and remove deals that no longer work. Brands can sign up for Dealspotr and offer exclusive codes not found on other sites. If you get emails with coupon codes, you can add them to Dealspotr to earn points that can later be used towards an Amazon gift card! For bloggers and other influencers, you can sign up to partner with brands on sponsored posts.

My personal experience with Dealspotr:

I like logging into Dealspotr when shopping online because I like to double-check if there are any exclusive discount codes. I also really like how Dealspotr has less broken coupon codes than other sites. Some coupon code sites that I used to use, would have more broken codes than working ones and that felt like a waste of time. As a blogger, I get a lot of emails on a regular basis. I try to keep the emails I get from brands and businesses to a minimum. However, there are a few smaller brands that I just love, who I stay on the email list for. When I get emailed coupon codes I like to add them to Dealspotr to earn points towards Amazon gift cards. My favorite aspect of Dealspotr is the campaign marketplace. I’ve gotten a few sponsored posts over the past few months by applying for posts in there. They set your rate based on your traffic and social media statistics, so it is pre-decided for you, but I feel that the rate is pretty close to what I earn through other blogging networks for similar work. If you are a blogger, YouTuber or social media influencer I would recommend signing up for the Dealspotr Marketplace. In addition to having sponsored post campaigns, they sometimes have review offers where you receive product in exchange for a blog post. I haven’t done a review through the platform yet but I’ve been happy with my interactions through Dealspotr so far overall.

These are great tips, I love shopping online! I pretty much buy everything online, it is so much easier on me as a mom of three under 9. I definitely try to save the most, and one of the big ones is free shipping! I do not order anything until I make the minimum to get it free, it really adds up when you don’t!

  • you just wonder me, you are the real gem over the internet. Thanks for proving such a value to your visitors.
