This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
The main reason why people are vaping is because it is said to help smokers quit. But there are still some skeptics out there that do not believe this to be true. The benefits to vaping over smoking are more than the health benefits. Let’s take a look at them.

A healthier option
There are various medical reports, including some written by the NHS, showing that vaping is far safer than smoking.
But without going into all the details of the studies, it’s possible to take our own look on it. Firstly, let’s consider what a vape is made up of.
We have the e-cigarette, the tank, the coil, the battery and the e-liquid. The only chemicals that go into the construction are in the e-liquid. And even then, there are hardly any ingredients.
E-liquid is made of glycerine (a sweetener), water, propylene glycol (an additive that is also
commonly used in foods) and nicotine.
E-cigs have the ability to alternate levels of nicotine. This means that depending on how bad
the addiction is, it can be specifically catered for.
Other methods are so standard that there is no personalisation to the quitting aid.
One possible nicotine concentration is 0% so people can vape for fun without risk of
addiction or risk to any harmful chemical effects.
Now let’s compare the ingredients of a stick cigarette.
Actually, let’s not, because we will be here all day.
There are in fact over 4,000 chemicals (no that is not a typo) that are found in cigarette
smoke.
Just to name a few though: nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, ammonia and cyanide. These all
have terrible consequences.
The further down a cigarette, the more tar is found. So that means, the more a cigarette is smoked and the shorter it gets, the more tar gets ingested after each puff. Tar gets trapped in the lungs, making it harder to breathe and is the main cause of lung cancer.
Individuals seeking information on alternatives to smoking might find it useful to explore different options available at local vape shops, such as those listed on ezvape.com. This could help them make an informed decision about their health and lifestyle changes.
The carbon monoxide inhaled inhibits the amount of oxygen that a red blood cell can contain. The effects of this? Less oxygen passed around the body. This will cause severe fatigue, dizziness and increase heart rates. Long term exposure will lead to heart disease.
And that’s just talking about two of chemicals in a cigarette.
But what about nicotine-free cigarettes?
These are actually just as bad as regular tobacco sticks. There may be no nicotine, but they
still contain all the cancerous and harmful chemicals as standard cigarettes.
So it can be easily seen that vaping is a healthier choice as it will not lead to these terrible
health problems.
There was a lot said on this point but it really highlights how different the two are. Ok, on to
the next one.
Vaping is a cheaper option
Some people may be motivated to switching to vaping because it will save them a ton of
money.
We will be comparing a regular vaper to a pack-a-day smoker to prove this point.
Starting with the smoker:
A pack of 20 cigarettes costs roughly £10. So that’s:
£70 a week
£280 a month
£3,360 a year
Over £3k a year on cigarettes alone!
Now for the vaper:
A generic e-cig can be bought for around £20.
The tank costs another £20
A pack of coils £15
A pack of batteries £10
E-liquids last roughly a week each and cost close to £5 each. So for a year’s worth,
that’s £260
And that’s it. In total then, to vape for a year, it will cost £325.
That’s less than 10% of the yearly cost of smoking. Think of all that money that can be
saved and put to better use!
The difference is actually insane. We know we would prefer to have an extra £3,000 in our
back pockets!
The vaping community
Having people around that have been there and done it is a massive help for vapers.
There are plenty of ex-smokers that now have and will be able to pass on their advice on
what steps they took to quit.
Vapers in the process that feel in a bad place or have an urge to take a puff can take comfort
in that there will be someone that has been in that exact same situation.
Being part of a vaping community provides a great opportunity to meet all these people, get
to know them, become friends and ultimately, help quit.
The vaping community is friendly and full of interesting people with their own stories to tell.
Many of us used to smoke but now vape with 0% nicotine because we can and we enjoy it.
We are by far the best supporting tool to help. Smoking patches cannot give physical
encouragement or give any tough love if it’s needed.
Vaping tastes better
And we mean way better! We’ll keep this one short and sweet.
The number of e-liquid flavours available gives so much room to experiment without having
that nasty taste lingering afterwards like after a smoke.
And that is only a few reasons why vaping is useful to kick the smoking habit.
Vaping can help quit smoking for good, improve a lifestyle and be enjoyable all at the same
time.

I have seen quite a number vaping but all seem quite young. I would imagine there are benefits to vaping if you do the nicotine free. I know also there are many flavors.

Thank you for writing this, it’s discouraging when I see the lack of knowledge and even straight misinformation that’s out there! I truly couldn’t imagine ever quitting smoking even though I knew it was terrible for my health, vaping gave me an out & took a few months to completely quit cigarettes. I also think flavors are actually important for quitting for many and am bothered by the push to eliminate flavored juices, the reasons given seem pretty disingenuous to me..
