This is a sponsored post with giftYou. All opinions are my own.
Most years there are the same couple of people on my Christmas list who I struggle to find gifts for. Often times, the week of Christmas arrive and I still haven’t even thought of a potential gift to buy them, and I certainly haven’t purchased for them yet!
Sometimes I take a chance and buy something that I think they maybe have a 50/50 shot of liking. Though I often regret it once they open the package. If I don’t see a clear sign of excitement then I tend to assume that I probably missed the mark. So most years, I go for a gift card, usually to a place like Target or Amazon where everyone can find something they want. Though I also know that it’s all too easy to end up spending those on something you were going to buy anyway like laundry soap, and not use it to actually treat yourself. I want my gift to actually feel like a gift, so I don’t really like using gift cards. Yet sometimes it feels like the only option.
That’s why I love the idea of giftYou. It’s a website where you can create a registry for any reason. It doesn’t have to be a wedding or a baby shower. You can add items to your wish list that are from any retailer, not just one. You can then share your wish list with friends or family members. If they purchase something off of your wish list, they can mark it as purchased regardless of where they bought it from. This way, Aunt Susie will know not to buy the video game that Grandma already bought. So this year, if you are struggling to get someone a gift, ask them to make a Christmas wish list on giftYou.
This can be especially helpful for those who are picky, those who seem to own everything, or people with special needs. If you’ve ever loved a child with special needs, you may find that toys based on their age don’t match their development, yet it can feel strange to buy toys that may be too simple, too. Having a wish-list from the parents of a special needs child would help to ensure that you buy something that is appropriate based on where their development or skills are currently at.
Who is the hardest person for you to come up with gifts for?

I agree that it’s hard when you need a gift for a picky person (eg millennials!) so this is very helpful!

My husband is always the hardest one to get a gift for because he usually just buys what he needs or wants.

I think this would be perfect for friends and family that have kids. It is hard to buy for them because you don’t know what they have, who already has bought something for them. I usually give my niece money and tell her get this or that if zay does not have. Or if they is something she wants get it. Then I just pick up a little something to open Christmas Eve.

Sounds like an interesting new gifting technology!
Sounds like a great, helpful website! My husband is by far the hardest person to buy for!
