DecorTech sent me a flip-top end table to review. All opinions are my own.
DecorTech is a brand that makes affordable furniture that keeps modern technology in mind. For example, their Flip-Top end table comes with a built-in port that has two AC outlets and 2 USB-C charging ports. This way you could plug in a small lamp, your laptop, and charge your phone and tablet all at once!
I really like the size of this end-table. It’s far more rectangular than square, making it easier to fit up against other furniture without feeling ‘in the way’ in smaller rooms. I’ve always found that in smaller rooms the square end tables feel a bit bulky. This is slimmer so it can hug up against your couch or a desk without feeling ‘in the way’.
You have to assemble it, but I didn’t have too much trouble assembling it on my own using the instructions provided. The metal edges of the table make it more sturdy than some other furniture in this category, in my opinion. As to be expected at this price point, the planks are particle board but I’ve owned plenty of particle board furniture and have been happy enough with it. I was a little surprised that the underside of the storage drawer is not made out of particleboard like the rest of the piece, it’s a thinner material that is more like really sturdy posterboard? It’s thinner than a standard pencil. Seems how that is what the bottom of the drawer is made out of, it’s probably best to not put anything particularly heavy in the drawer. But for smaller items it’ll work just fine.
My original plan was to have this next to my husband’s desk so he could store his desktop PC tower in it, but the space under the storage bin is a bit too short to fit his PC tower. So for now I have placed it next to my own desk and am storing some books on the bottom. I might move it into our bedroom or somewhere else in the future, I’m still figuring out where it would be the best used. But also, we do hope to move this summer so if not in this home, perhaps we’ll find an awesome spot for it once we move.
Overall, I think it’s a nice little stand for those on a budget and looking for something around this size that works with their electronics.
