  Smart Planet offers a variety of ‘smart’ products. I say ‘smart’ because their meal kits and bottles are reusable and their small appliances simplify cooking/baking. What’s not to like about that?

For this review, I received 2 products: a small Collapsible Eco Meal Kit and a Smokeless Indoor BBQ.

Smart Planet offers a variety of meal kits with a collapsible base made of silicone. They come in many different sizes and shapes that are ideal for salads, soups, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. They are available in 4 colors: blue, green, pink, and orange. The Small Eco Meal Kit has one inner compartment. The lid is leak-proof and includes a condiment container. There is also a spork that conveniently stores in the lid. What I like about this meal lit is that the base collapses to half its size for storage. Instead of having cupboards overflowing with plastic containers, I can keep everything tidy and save a lot of room with these Eco Meal Kits. I also like that the base is microwave and dishwasher safe (although the lid isn’t).

The Smokeless Indoor BBQ is also a great product. Ever since our BBQ broke, we’ve missed the taste of BBQed food. This indoor grill is about as close as it gets. It is very easy to use with a dial to control temperature. The grill itself is non-stick which makes cleaning a lot easier. There is a small pan underneath to collect grease and small bits of food. It cooks food quite quickly and is really smokeless. WE used it for burgers and they were really tasty. The only thing missing was the smoky charcoal flavor but as I said, it is as close it gets to the real thing and is very convenient especially in the winter when you don’t want to cook outside on the BBQ.

Overall, I like both products from Smart Planet. I find the Eco Meal Kit’s design particularly clever because the base is collapsible and the lid has an integrated condiment container as well as an opening for a spork so everything can be neatly stored together and takes very little space. The Smokeless Indoor BBQ is also great for someone who doesn’t have a BBQ or doesn’t use it year round. It makes grilling very easy!
