Lucyd sent me their Lyte Smart Glasses in Moonbeam for review. All opinions are my own.

Gifts for tech lovers can be a tough one! Especially if you’re not looking to spend an arm and a leg. My husband is always curious about new technology. He first mentioned Smart Glasses years ago! Lucyd makes smart glasses that can be customized to your prescription if you’re an eyeglass wearer. This was key for us, as Ryan relies on glasses to see well.

What can Lucyd smart glasses do? Through the Lucyd app, you can speak to ChatGPT, Siri, LucydAI or Google with voice. They have four built in speakers and two microphones so you can play music, take calls, and control your favorite apps. It’s almost like your smart speaker, earbuds or headphones and glasses all had a baby.

The glasses have Bluetooth 5.2 connectability that allows them to connect to iOS, android, Tvs, video consoles and more. They feature photochromic lenses that adapt to your light conditions for you (no need to worry about having seperate sunglasses) and UV400 protection. The microphones are noise canceling making for more enjoyable phone calls. The battery life lasts for 12 hours on a single charge. They offer IP56 water and dust resistance to stay protected from sweat, dust and light splashes.

Ryan’s preferred style of glasses the last few years has been clear frames, so we loved that these Moonbeam Smart Glasses frames are clear plastic, and their standard size was a great fit for Ryan but also fit me, so I suspect they’ll fit most adults pretty well. Of course, these were made to Ryan’s prescription so I don’t actually wear them. He’s just camera shy so I opted to be the model for the review.

Lucyd Smart Glasses are fairly comparable in price to prescription glasses from an eye doctor. Non-prescription Lucyd glasses are around $189 when not on sale, and when adding in basic prescription lenses, there is an additional $50 fee. Roughly $240 for prescription smartglasses isn’t half bad! And, they have sales frequently, too.
