We are a family that loves games.  Board games, card games, word games, yard games, it doesn’t matter the kind.  We enjoy playing a variety of everything.  So when I came across Seaturtle Sports and saw their selection of unique games, I thought it would be great to try one.

Seaturtle Sports sent me their newest game, Yazoo to try out.  I was a little surprised at how lightweight the package was when it arrived.  Upon taking Yazoo out, though, I felt it was still made well and the fact that it is lightweight is a huge bonus for when we’ll take it with us and play away from home.  Set up is extremely easy.  We simple lengthened the poles and stuck them in the ground.  Then, each team placed one of the cans on top.  That’s it!  We were ready for play!

While the four of us that played were definitely not the best aim, we still had a great time with Yazoo.  Plus, the bad aim just gave us more exercise as we chased the disc.  I liked that even our 4 year old was able to join in and be included.  This will definitely be a family favorite for years to come.

Geared for ages 8 and up, Yazoo is an outdoor game that can be played with 2 to 6 players.  Each team takes turns throwing the disc and trying to knock down their opponents can.  This can be accomplished by hitting the can directly or by hitting the pole.  The team that is on defense has their players ready behind the pole waiting to catch the disc and the can should it get knocked down.   The first team to 21 points wins.
