With July now here, it’s time to get out and enjoy this Summertime weather before it’s gone again. The kids and I have been trying to get out and visit local parks and playgrounds as well as hitting up the local beach in between our library visits. (Our local library always runs a Summer reading program so we are there at least weekly picking up new books.) Then, on weekends, we like to visit with family and friends while grilling lunch. So with all this extra time spent outdoors, it’s great to have some fun games and activities to keep everyone busy. Last year, Seaturtle Sports sent us one of their fun games and you can read my Yazoo Review to learn more about that unique game. This year, Seaturtle Sports sent me their newest release.
Turtle Toss is basically a corn hole/bag toss game but on a much more portable and versatile level. Included are: collapsable playing board with multiple scoring holes, 8 cylinder shaped bean bags, laminated rules sheet, and an adjustable carrying/storage bag. Assembly takes literally seconds and play is very simple yet challenging which makes it fun for all ages.
Geared for 2 to 4 players, Turtle Toss has three different sized scoring holes for players to aim for, with each worth different amounts of points. I really like the fact that this game is lightweight and portable, which makes it a truly travel-friendly product. At first, I was concerned that the board would be tippy since it’s so light but the wide base legs help it stay firm on the ground, even on a windier day (like we were having). The kids love having games available for them to be able to join in and I love the flexibility that Turtle Toss offers since we can partner up with the younger kids and play with up to 8 players, each tossing one bean bag per round.
Turtle Toss is a great game that’s lots of fun! Bright colors, lightweight design, and high quality make this a game that should last a long time and be used for years to come. I can’t think of a single improvement that would enhance this product because everything, even down to the mesh bottom carrying bag, has been given top attention to detail.
