Several years ago my husband and I were talking about getting a Nintendo Switch. The kids had been asking (aka, they wore us down) and we were seriously contemplating actually biting the bullet and getting one. Well, my birthday was coming up so my husband asked if we should just get it for that. I suggested we buy it, wrap it, and when it came time for me to open my gifts, I’d pass that particular package to the kids, letting them know there was a mistake and that package actually belonged to them.
