Please feel free to email me! I am sorry for not addressing this earlier, I guess I just assumed that people would naturally email me if their prize never showed up. However I recently heard from a winner who won months ago and never received her prize, and never told me until last week.

For every 8-10 giveaways I end, at least 1 time, the prize doesn’t arrive right away. However, if you tell me within a few weeks of the item not showing up, I can contact the company and remind them. 99.9% of the time, that’s all it takes, a simple reminder. On very rare occasion companies will just not send out a prize, like what recently happened with wild texas wear, which is why I posted about them. Instead of just forgetting to send out the prize, they chose to totally ignore my emails and act as if I wasn’t trying to contact them at all. This is a VERY different situation than someone just forgetting.

Anyway, please know that I am very friendly and will do all that I can to make sure that prizes get to you. If you are just now reading this and won a giveaway in March, or whatever it might have been, please feel free to email me. As I mentioned I recently received an email from someone who didn’t receive their prize months back, and i contacted the company and they were more than willing to send it out even though it’s been such a long time now.

Being a review blogger requires a lot of organization, but I keep ALL emails that I send back and forth with companies. So that if a prize doesn’t arrive i search my email for the company name and can pull up the last email I sent them even if it was 6 months ago. I simply reply asking about the winners prize and the PR rep can look back and view our conversations and feel confident that I truly did work with them and am not ‘pulling one over’ on them.

I think that most review bloggers would do the same so never feel like you can’t do anything if your prize doesn’t arrive. Usually you can :). Again I am sorry for not addressing this sooner I just never thought about it.

  • I have to second that you are friendly and helpful. When I had a prize not show up and emailed you about it, it was resolved quickly. Now my son is a happy little guy enjoying his new toy.

  • You seem very friendly, the blog host does not know unless the winner gets in touch. Speak up! most companies are backed up in email, and if they fail to answer my email I will contact them on facebook or twitter.

    Thanks for posting this! I really appreciate how friendly and helpful you are. I think the hesitancy I have in contacting people if prizes don’t show up is that I don’t want to look like I’m just being greedy or impatient. But it’s good to know that you are happy to help out and check on it.

  • I usually ask the winners to let me know when they receive their prize so I can keep track, but not all of them do. Unfortunately I had one similar incident where a company did not fulfill the giveaway prize. I did everything I could to get in contact with them, even post on their facebook page to email me. I felt terrible that the winner never received it!

  • I agree. Us Blog owners don’t always know if and when you receive your prize. All we can do is send off the info. I’ve had a few that the info just kind of got lost in the companies que and they totally admitted it then sent out the prize.

    I’ve only had 1 giveaway that I know of that the winners did not receive their prize. Then after several attempts they finally did receive “a” prize but not the way it was promised. That’s why I started the dead beat sponsor list. Luckily I only still have 1 sponsor on the list. It’s really not a list I’m happy to update BUT I will when needed.
