Sodastream is an at home soda maker that is eco-friendly. Instead of purchasing bottles or cans of soda from a store, you purchase the soda maker, c02 container, and bottles of flavoring from sodastream. When you want to make a soda, you fill one of the soda bottles with regular tap water, and attach it to the sodastream machine to add carbonation. Then you add a cap full of flavoring, gently shake the soda bottle and it’s ready to drink. Soda streams regular soda flavors have no high fructose corn syrup, making them healthier than traditional sodas. In addition to soda, they have flavors that can be added to sparkling water as well. We were sent a sodastream machine and some flavors to try out. The machine is very easy to use, and sodastream makes many flavors to choose from. Out of the flavors that we were sent, my personal favorite is Pomegranate Peach, which I will admit really surprised me, because from the names of the flavors I would have thought it would be my least favorite. Therefore, I’d definitely recommended trying all of the flavors available because you might be surprised at which ones appeal to you. I am very picky when it comes to soda flavors, and don’t care for many off brand flavors so I wasn’t real surprised that many of the soda stream flavors didn’t suit me. However, my roommate Garrett has been drinking them daily since this machine arrived as he really likes them, so it’s all about preference. The sodastream bottles are BPA free and can be used for up to two years before needing replaced. The carbonators can be returned to sodastream after they have been used. Replacing a carbonator costs 29.99. Each carbonator will last for up to 130 liters.

Buy it: You can purchase from soda stream online. Sodastream is also available nationwide at Sears, Kohl’s, bed, bath and beyond, and others as well!

For a family or group that uses a lot of soda, this would be a good alternative to buying cases of soda. It sounds like they would be much better for you than regular sodas which is a big benefit. BPA free bottles are a big plus.

We have a Soda Stream, and my 16 year old loves to make her own soda. She likes the fruity flavors…like Pink Grapefruit.
