architec gripper boardI haven’t had great luck with cutting boards in the past. I’ve had two wooden ones that wound up splitting into two pieces after just a few months of use. I also had a weird, very thin “bendable” cutting board that was really poorly made and never really stood a chance to last very long. Architec is a company that makes several cutting boards. I was sent the gripper board for review in orange. The cutting surface is made out of polypropylene and the bottom side is covered in “dots” that stick out from the surface and grip the countertop really well. My kitchen is pretty small, and we have extremely limited counter space because the counter is very small and has to hold the microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. architec gripper boardWith wooden cutting boards in the past, they would slide around on our counter, so I would use the board on the small bit of counter space in front of the microwave, so that the microwave would hold it still. It was uncomfortable though because of the small amount of space. The grippers on the underside of the architec cutting board allow me to use the board on any flat surface without having the board slide around. It also has a handle to carry it with, and is dishwasher safe, both of which make this cutting board really convenient to use. I also appreciate how it’s fairly thin, which allows it to be stored much easier than the thick cutting boards I’ve had in the past.

Buy it: You can purchase this board and other items from architec online at a variety of stores.
