One of my “go to” gifts for women is candles. I’m not sure if I’ve ever met a woman or teenager girl who doesn’t like candles in some scent or another. I know several men who enjoy them as well, though they might not admit it. I received a pomegranate Sage candle from aquiesse for review. It’s a fairly small candle and comes in a thick glass container with a symbol on the front. It’s made of soy wax and has a lead free wick. I love soy candles for a few reasons. The main reason is they last a lot longer than traditional candles. The small candle I received has a burn time of 100 hours. Another big benefit is they burn clean, so even if you use a glass candle holder, the candle won’t turn the glass black because way less soot is released into the air when buring soy candles vs traditional candles.
Additionally, soy beans are a very popular crop here in america, so using soy candles usually helps local farmers. I’ve given soy candles as gifts in the past and later been asked where I purchased it because the candle seemed so unique, when in fact it was simply because the candle was soy. The aquiesse candle I received smells great and does a great job of filling the entire room with scent. We’ve burned it for a quite a while and it’s very slowly starting to disappear but it will last longer than traditional candles of its size. If you love candles be sure to check out aquiesse.
