Emily Reviews Holiday Gift Guide

Welcome to our first post for the holiday gift guide! This gift is great for the foodie on your list. Mrs. Renfro’s is a company that sells gourmet salsa among other things like nacho cheese, BBQ sauce and others. Ryan and I had the chance to try out four items from mrs renfro’s. We selected the hot salsa, the medium salsa, the nacho cheese and the garlic salsa. Ryan and I are both big fans of salsa but we have a hard time agreeing on which brand and type to purchase. Ryan likes really hot foods, and I do too but not quite as hot as he likes. In the past we’ve tried salsas that he liked, but that were too hot for me or salsas that were too plain for him. Mrs. Renfro’s hot salsa was a great option for both of us. I like it becuase I can eat a couple of handful of chips and salsa before it gets too hot for me to continue eating, while Ryan feels that it’s plenty hot enough to satisfy him. We both also liked the medium salsa, I loved it, in fact. Ryan liked it as well but he prefers the hot salsa over the medium.

The garlic salsa was a neat one to try as it’s not as plain as a traditional salsa, and we both really enjoyed it as well. I am not a fan of nacho cheese so I knew I wouldn’t care for the nacho cheese sauce, but Ryan said it was great. Mrs Renfro’s carries other items such as mild salsa, relish, pineapple salsa and more. Their foods come in containers that are larger than traditional salsa jars, and they retail for 3.25 a piece, so they’re at a reasonable price. These would make nice gifts for the salsa lover on your list, or you could use them to create a dish and then gift the snack or meal to them instead.
