BABY U R Precious (BURP for short) was formed in March of 2008. BURP was established by Lynda (Grandma) and Erin (Mom) after Rylynn (Baby) was born. Linda and Erin wanted to come up with an at-home business that would allow Erin to work from home while caring for Rylynn.
Both Linda and Erin are committed to leaving a small GREEN footprint and are equally committed to their BURP ministry. This ministry is made up of Moms who get together on a monthly basis to sew burp cloths for less fortunate Moms around the world.
All of their products are organic and are made from certified organic bamboo velour. …and, oh my heaven….they are sooooo soft and luxurious. Not only do Linda and Erin make burb cloths but also bibs, blankets (various sizes), and double-layered hooded bath towels as well as a hooded towel with a hands-free strap! These products are antimicrobial and hypoallergenic.
For our review, we were sent one bib, one washcloth and two burb cloths. The colors are so beautiful; you can see the attention to detail in the stitching. I was also impressed with the sizes of the products. They’re perfect. They’re not so small that they won’t do the job but also not overly large and cumbersome like some I’ve used.
Now, this is what impressed me—I have never in my entire life seen a cloth absorb water like these items do. We poured an entire glass of water on the washcloth and it was totally dry on the other side! Totally DRY! …and we haven’t even washed them yet. Usually towels and washcloths are more absorbent after they’ve been washed so if that’s the case with these towels and they’re even better than they are brand new, I’m really going to be impressed. When my Niece Jordyn finally makes her arrival, she is going to love, appreciate, and test her BUPR products too.
You can find BURP on their website, Facebook, and twitter pages.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

When my babies were firstborn I did keep some ripped paper towels in a bucket of plain warm water to use as wipes. I’d change the water periodically throughout the day so it stayed fresh. I didn’t bother with soaps or oils. I admittedly switched to regular wipes as they got older. I only used wipes after they pooped. Didn’t bother if it was just a wet diaper. I’d let them air dry for a minute then put another diaper on. You have a beautiful son. Congratulations.
