Karen Kane offers clothing designed with elegance and comfort in mind. Karen grew up in a small town with the dream of becoming a fashion designer. She moved to LA to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. After graduating, in 1979, Karen designed and launched her first collection from a garage. As she began to work on the second, Karen found herself needing more help and more space. She found a location in Downtown LA and expanded her team.
No matter what the current trends are, Karen approaches her designs now the same way she always has and that’s with comfort and quality in the forefront. Karen’s personality and love of her home surroundings, family and friends inspire her. Although she has won many industry-related awards from as early as high school, Karen has remained humble and very active in her support of such worthy causes as the LA Children’s Hospital and Cedars Sinai Pediatric AIDS Foundation as well as others. Karen also has tremendous loyalty to her alma mater and demonstrates that loyalty by annually sponsoring one student through the “Karen Kane Scholarship”. Today Karen Kane designs can be found in department stores and boutiques around the nation.
For my review, I received the Side Wrap Dolman top, in black. A side-wrap top is a perfect addition to every wardrobe. The side wrap and V-neck are flattering for all shapes and sizes. This top can be dressed-up or will play nice with your favorite pair of jeans. The Side Wrap Dolman top is very comfortable. I recently wore it in a family photos session and received many compliments on it…but best of all, I felt good in it!
