In 1939, Frank Farino worked for a Cleveland bra company. He got word that the company was going to be shutting down. Frank was owed some back pay but, was instead given two sewing machines, four of the company’s sales accounts and $240. Frank turned this set-back into an opportunity to start his own intimate apparel company.
As the war progressed, Frank ran into challenges of finding materials needed to make his intimate apparel. He again took what he was given and found a way to make it work. Frank started marketing his bras as maternity and nursing medical items. This change from intimate apparel to medial items allowed him to get the materials needed for production.
Seventy three years later, Frank’s company and mission is still alive. Leading Lady has been in business for years offering intimate apparel for Mom’s and Soon-to-be Moms. In addition to maternity and nursing bras, Leading Lady also offers full-figure bras, and leisure bras.

For my review, I received a Molded Padded Seamless Wirefree Full Figure bra and a Molded Padded Seamless Underwire Full Figure Bra. Both Bras have seamless molded cups with light padding, adjustable straps for comfort and are latex free. We received bras in nude and pink colors, both were flattering and discrete. My Mom and I agreed that the light padding was nice, it’s was bulky or fake looking.
I tried the Wirefree bra and really enjoyed it. The seamless design looked nice under my clothing. It was very comfortable, even after a long day of wear. My Mom tried the Underwire bra and also liked it. She noticed that the cup sizes seem to run a bit large so suggested perhaps getting a cup size smaller than what you normally would. Overall, we are both pleased with our Leading Lady Full Figure bras.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
