Music group Orange Sherbet is releasing a new kids CD titled Delicious; it is set to be released on May 15th. Delicious took a group of talented artists five years to cultivate and harvest. It is a playful CD with a jazzy grove geared towards preschoolers but, fun for all ages.

Delicious was created to help inspire kids to eat a variety of foods, especially the produce that is currently in season. It also encourages kids to think about the way we get our foods, from the garden, to the store, then the kitchen, and finally our plate. I think most kids are naturally curious about the foods they eat…what is it called, where did it come from, and how is it going to feel, smell, and taste.

For our review, we received a Delicious CD. I knew this CD was going to be a hit with my girls for several reasons- they love music, cooking, singing and dancing. As soon as I put the CD in, they started dancing. Some of our favorite songs on the CD were- Waffle Day, Farmers’ Market, Rice & Beans, and the Garden Song/Inch by Inch. Just as I had hoped, the girls also started asking questions about some of the foods mentioned in the songs that we are not familiar with. We decided that the next chance we got, we would go to the Farmers’ Market to discover new produce.

Delicious is a creative way to let kids explore their taste buds and have fun while learning. You can find the Delicious CD on Orange Sherbet’s website.

There have been so many good CDs coming out for children. They are fun. educational, and entertaining. Making learning fun is important.

We had two specific kids music tapes when I was little that I remember listening to in the car. I mainly just remember being in the backseat and getting excited when one particular song – my favorite came on. My nephew is 1.5 and he just loves anything to do with music. I turn on youtube playlists of nursery rhymes while I babysit him and he’ll dance and clap when I first turn it on and then he’ll run off to play and he’ll randomly get caught up in the song and start dancing in the middle of playing something else. He’s fun. 🙂

  • Sounds cute and educational. Will have to look into this for my grandson. Thanks for the info and review.
