Ugglebo Clogs were started in 1965 by Sven Carlsson. Sven had knowledge and experience in making clogs. He decided to start his own business making traditional clogs with a new fashionable design. Within a few years of business, Sven’s son Christer joined the Ugglebo family. Christer continues to work at Ugglebo, in the same factory where it all started.

Ugglebo offers traditional Swedish clogs, fashion clogs and clog boots for women. They use high quality leathers, wood, and metal hardware to create their clogs. Even with modern technology, Ugglebo still hand crafts their clogs using the same techniques that they have used all along.

For my review, I received Tokyo Clogs in Nature color. Ugglebo Tokyo clogs have a traditional Swedish clog style. They have a low heel made out of Alderwoods, tanned leather, and staple fasteners for the classic look.

Prior to this, I had never had a pair of clogs or even tried a pair of clogs on. My only experience with clogs was a decorative wooden pair my best friend’s mom had on their mantle. When we were little we would giggle at the thought of wooden shoes.

As soon as the Ugglebo package arrived, I opened them and put them on. It took a little time for me to get use to walking in them. After a couple weeks of practice, I now think my Tokyo Clogs are my most comfortable shoes I own! I have received many complements on them too.
