I remember having coloring books as a child that had funny, stretched out words written on the pages that were mostly impossible to read until you placed them in front of a mirror. Then “magically”, the mirror’s reflection of the image would appear perfectly readable.
Morph-O-Scopes remind me of those pages, except instead of being writing they use images. They come with neat designs that look really distorted and stretched out. However, once you place the cup-shaped mirror in the center, the designs look perfectly normal in the reflection in the mirror.
Morph-o-scopes make for affordable gifts. Their kits such as Distorted Dinos and stretched pets include 5 coloring pages (that you are free to make copies of!), plus the decoder mirror, and a pack of 16 crayons. These packets cost just $7.99 each. They also offer party packages that are designed to be used by 8 people. These sets come with 8 decoder mirrors, 8 coloring sheets and 8 4-dot challenge bonus activities for $15.99. Both of these are really affordable ideas for children’s birthday parties or other gift giving occasions.
If you find that your child really enjoys the morph-o-scopes you can even sign up for a monthly subscription! When you first sign up you’ll get 10 images that you can print off as well as a decoder and a box of crayons. Then on the first of each month you’ll get 1 new image to color. The yearly cost is just $12.50.
I also like how there is the ability to have custom distorted drawing pages made from a photo. This could be a really unique surprise for a birthday party or other social gathering. You just use the Contact Us form on the website to discuss your customized idea.
Disclaimer – I was not compensated for this post in any way. I have not had direct experience with trying morph-o-scopes and this is not a first hand experience review. A previous writer from Emily Reviews was sent a morph-o-scopes kit and failed to follow through on the review so I wrote this featured post for the company.
