This week is a bit of a mystery to me. I did great with my Nutrisystem foods, drank my required water and exercised most days; yet felt sluggish and just not 100%. It could be partly do to PMS, part to the end of our summer vacation, part to stress, part to lack of sleep and part to my overactive Mommy anxiety of sending my oldest to kindergarten and my youngest to preschool. I felt yucky and it showed in my poor results (my opinion.)
This week, my measurements showed a loss of 0 in my upper arms, .5 in chest, 0 in waist, .5 in my hips, 0 in my thighs, a weekly total of 1 inch and an overall total of 10.5 inches. I only lost .6 pounds, bringing my total to 13.8 pounds!
Next week IS going to be better! I have increased my exercise plan, go back to wearing ankle weights where ever I can, will increasing my water, and will relaxing and settling in to our new school routine.
I have decided that I want to feature a new, exciting, healthy, and yummy recipe each week from the Nutrisystem website. This week’s recipe is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie; I am going to show you how to make it in this video.
Ingredients-
1 Nutrisystem® Creamy Chocolate Protein Shake Mix
1 cup ice
1 cup water
1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
1 Tbsp. natural peanut butter
Direction-
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Serve and enjoy; it’s DELICIOUS!
Counts as: 1 Power Fuel + 1 Protein Drink + 1 Smart Carb

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

That looks delish! I’ll have to try it. I’m on week 9, and I haven’t gotten too creative with the foods yet — but this looks too easy not to try! Great work!
