Those of you who have been with me for a while may remember my Something About Silver feature from last year when I reviewed a hand stamped necklace. Something About Silver is a Florida based business that makes gorgeous pieces of handmade jewelry. I am allergic to nickle and so I tend to purchase nice sets of jewelry and them wear them daily instead of changing out my jewelry. Something About Silver is a great place to shop for that really special piece.

Something About Silver Stacking Ring

This time around I was able to check out two stacking rings. The first is a personalized stacking ring. These rings are sterling silver and are available in two fonts, 3 finishes and sizes 5-11 including half sizes. They would be great for mothers or grandmothers if you had one made in each child’s name. I don’t have kids so I opted to have my boyfriend’s name put on mine instead.

The second ring is the gemstone stacking ring which pairs really nicely with the personalized stacking ring. The gemstone ring comes in sizes 5-9 whole sizes only, 3 finishes and 12 birthstones. I considered using Ryan’s birthstone but I didn’t care for the color so instead I used the October birthstone because we started dating on the 26th of October back in 2007. When wearing both rings side by side, the gemstone hangs over the name ring a little bit. My rings almost appear slightly different in color, one appearing truly silver and the other with a slight gold-ish tint to it but they compliment each other nicely.

I hadn’t had my ring finger sized in about 5 years and I think my fingers may have slimmed down slightly because the size I used to wear on that finger is now too big so i’ve been wearing these on my middle finger because they fit that finger well.

I really like having quality handmade things and I just love these rings. I think they’re probably the favorite thing I’ve gotten in quite a while. The name ring seems perfect in every way and the gemstone ring is almost there as well. However, when the light catches the gemstone ring, you can see how it reflects at a unique angle near the gemstone. While feeling the ring and looking at it when it isn’t in the light, it looks perfectly round it’s just that oh so faint line when the light catches it that says “I truly am handmade!”. Perhaps it’s silly but that just might be my favorite part of the ring.
