This week I have great news, good news, and frustrating news. Let’s start with the great news- Nutrisystem has asked me to continue my weight loss journey with them for another two months! I feel so incredibly blessed to have been given this life-changing opportunity. I can never thank Nutrisystem enough. I am almost 2/3 to my weight-loss goal and my life has already changed for the better.
That leads me to my good news- I am officially down 4 clothing sizes. A couple weeks ago, I purchased a pair of skinny jeans (omg, I NEVER thought I would say that) in a size smaller than what I was wearing at that time. I didn’t think they would fit, I thought they would be nice to have when I took that next step down. Much to my surprise, I was wearing them the next week. Then yesterday, I thought they felt a little bit looser. So I did my clothing size test…yep, I can take them off without unbuttoning them!
Well, now it’s time for the frustrating news. I HAD a fancy-schmancy bathroom scale that never revealed my weight, just the difference from weigh-in to weigh-in. I have had some problems with it so the company kindly sent me a replacement. The replacement arrived and it had the same problems. It’s time for a completely new bathroom scale. That means I have no idea what my weight change is this week. I can tell you that my measurements stayed the same. In 25 weeks, I have lost a total of 31.5 inches. Hopefully, my new scale will arrive this week and I can provide you with an accurate update next week.
Today I want to share the Delish Strawberry Shortcake recipe I found on Nutrisystem’s website.
Ingredients-
4 oz. fat-free yogurt
1 pkg. Nutrisystem Golden Pound Cake
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
Directions-
Slice the cake in half horizontally and fill with yogurt and strawberries. Then, top with the rest of the yogurt and more strawberries.
Counts As-
1 Dessert + 1/2 Power Fuel + 1 Smart Carb

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
