VIPRE Internet Security is an anti-virus program that stands out from the rest. Sure, it protects you from viruses but it includes more than that, too. It comes with a firewall and a really uinque feature that is simple called the “Easy Update” feature that will automatically update programs such as adobe, Java and Itunes that often have new versions come out. Some viruses are able to get to your computer when such programs are not updated on time, so by automatically updating these for you, it gives you an added layer of protection.
Plus, if your’e like me, it’s annoying to wait to update Java until you’re ready to play a game that needs the newest version. So, its nice to just always be prepared instead of having to wait around on the update after you’re ready to do something with the new version.
In the past, I’ve had protection software that really bogged down my PC while it was running so I had to try to remember to set it to run as I was going to bed so that it wouldn’t be a problem, but then I would have to leave my PC on overnight. I haven’t noticed Vipre slowing down my PC at all so I have been able to use it while blogging or going about other online tasks.
If you want to give it a try, you can head to the Vipre website to get a free trial for yourself, you’ll just have to provide your email address. Here is what it looked like when I downloaded Vipre.
You just click on the green download button on the vipre site (After verifying your email) and then in the lower part of your browser ,the file will show up and you’ll have to select for it to open. Then this pop up comes up and you click run. At some point, it will ask for a registration key but you won’t have one if you’re just doing the free trial – that’s okay though. It’s really easy to download and install, and the Vipre website has step by step instructions to help you out if needed.
