As my time with Nutrisystem is coming to an end, I find myself having mixed emotions. I am both enthusiastic and nervous for what lies ahead. One day I feel confident and determined. While other days, I am filled with apprehension and melancholy.
I am excited to finally live life feeling comfortable with my body. I am thrilled to finally be able to get dressed without crying. I am delighted to be able to play with my kids and keep up with them. I love the look in my Husband’s eyes when I catch him watching me. It’s fun to see the reactions from friends that I haven’t seen since I started Nutrisystem. I feel magnificent emotionally and physically!
However, I also can’t help but fear the dark side- What if I slip and go back to my old ways? Most of our family get together are around food. My side of the family is also trying to eat healthier but, my Husbands side is still eating rich heavy country meals. It’s not always convenient or practical for me to bring a special meal/dish for myself to those gatherings. What if I can’t prioritize “me time” every day for exercising? I am a stay at home mom with two young daughters. Some days their schedule, my work and house work are just to demanding to fit “me time” in.
I am hoping that my eagerness drives me away from the dark side. I am trusting that my new skills will help me make the right decisions. I believe my family when they say they are here to support and help me. I am ready to take my journey into the next phase!
I was traveling last week so today’s measurements are for the last week and a half; they showed a loss of 0 in my arms, 0 in my chest, .5 in my waist, .5 in my hips and 0 in my thighs. That inch brings my overall total to 49 inches lost. I also lost 3 pounds this week!! See, my push in workouts and extra water is paying off. I have a total loss of 55 pounds. I am only 5 pounds from my goal.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
