Quality school supplies is an important factor in the dynamics of a school year. Ask any child who was given a box of cheap crayons that didn’t work well and they will tell you. When I was in school, my parents purchased a used flute for me that ended up being a piece of junk. You had to put so much effort into blowing the thing that it was impossible to play well with it. Unfortunately, this made me dislike band and I quit after a couple years. Quality supplies can make all the difference and a quality backpack and lunch bag are included in this category.
I was sent a J World New York RBS-18 Sunrise backpack in Blue Raspberry and a JWorld LB-03 Corey Lunch Bag in Target Blue for review. The items arrived quickly and were well packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. J World New York has been in business since 1983 and is a leading international backpack and luggage brand. Their products are sold in over 25 countries worldwide and are well known for superior quality and stylish colors and patterns. All of J World New York’s bags, including their rolling backpacks, include a lining on the inside which sets them apart from the competition.
The Sunrise Rolling Backpack was an immediate hit with both my daughter and myself. The pattern and colors flow beautifully together for a stylish practical bag. I was excited to learn that the handle has three different locking positions, which will be handy as she grows taller. One feature that I have never seen (or have missed) on other rolling backpacks is that there is a pocket for the shoulder straps to tuck in to when using the rolling feature. The shoulder straps have a nice amount of sturdy comfortable padding of air mesh cushion as well which is a great feature for added comfort.
J World New York also took into consideration that children need lots of storage. The Sunrise Rolling Backpack has a bounty of pockets to help keep things organized. The front of the backpack even includes a pocket that has compartments for pencils, keys, and a mesh pocket organizer. There is also a mesh pocket on each side of the Sunrise that would be great for a water bottle.
The Sunrise Rolling Backpack is also a great traveling bag. It is designed to fit in the overhead storage compartment of a plane as well as under the seats. The wheels are quiet and roll with ease. With so many pockets and high quality wheels, this bag would definitely be a great traveling accessory.
The Corey Lunch Bag in Target Blue is practical yet stylish. The colors are a bright vibrant blue and the pattern is great. Our 6 year old son already called dibs on the Corey Lunch Bag.
There is one main compartment and then a small zippered compartment on the front. The main compartment is a generous size and I was easily able to fit a water bottle, sandwich container, two bars, small snack container, pear, and pack of crackers with more room to spare. While the Corey is a great size, it’s not overly large either. This is definitely one of the nicest lunch bags I’ve ever seen. The quality feels high and should stand strong for the year and beyond.
I am really happy with both the Sunrise Rolling Backpack and Corey Lunch Bag as both are high quality, attractive, and practical. These are definitely bags that I plan to use for years to come because even though the kids really like the colors and patterns, they also appeal to adults as well.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
