Growing up I was a bit of a tom boy so I love watching my nephews grow up and go through the typical phases of interests like cars, tractors, dinosaurs, bugs, etc. Dino Dan is a great TV show for kids when they gain an interest in dinosaurs because its in a tv show format that feels like any other TV show except it’s really quite educational.
I was recently able to check out a Dino Dan DVD 4 pack which includes the following titles:

Dino Dan is a TV show found on nick.com each night at 5pm and if your kid enjoys the show, they’ll love having DVDs around to play while its not on TV. It’s also a fun way to share the show with kids who don’t have tv service that offers nick. The general storline is that Dan is a 10 year old boy who absolutely LOVES dinosaurs. He uses the scientific method to find answers to questions that he has which is a great introduction to basic science. While the show is primarily focused around dinosaurs, it has themes that are common child problems or elssons such as having to play with your little brother or making a trip to the dentist.
The DVD four pack was just released for sale in Target stores last month and is being sold for $24.99, a nice price for a four disc pack, I think. All DVDds slide into one larger box so they can be kept together for easy storing. The front of each DVD has a different image so that non-readers can tell which one is which (my 3 year old nephew is very particular about which episode he wants to watch at any given time, so its nice that he can pick it out himself).
