I’m a 32 year old mom who has a teenage daughter. Raising a teen at this time and age is not that easy especially when you talk of the financial matters of the family. But even if I’m on a budget, I still want to make sure that I will still give the best that I can give to her whether it would be material things or emotional needs. I found this to be true when I was about to buy the prom dress for my daughter to wear at the party. She wanted a dress that was beautiful and modern, and I wanted her to feel beautiful in her dress while still sticking to my budget. I was so happy with the dress buying experience that I had, that I wanted to share it with all of you.
At first, I thought of buying her dress at a nearby store. So I hurriedly went there to check on the dresses they could offer. I took my daughter with me so that she could also check on the designs, but after going through some styles and fitting few dresses my daughter was still not able to find the right dress for her.So we thought of the other way of getting her dress would be to look at some online stores that sold formal dresses. The next day we hung out in her room to search for some websites for prom gowns and dresses. We came across The Green Guide website. My daughter had to leave to go to school for a while, so I decided to keep looking to find her ‘perfect dress’.
I looked at their site even further and checked out their dresses and I was surprised to see that they have a lot beautiful prom dress options. What made me even more interested was the fact that most of the dresses are inexpensive and it fit right into my budget! TheGreenGuide’sformal dresses were beautiful, but based on her sharing opinions with me in the past, I knew they didn’t fit her personality. I thought it was worth trying out some other categories such as the Quiceanera dresses because they can also make nice prom dresses. After a bit more searching, I was able to see a style that’s just right for my daughter. I gave her measurements and processed the order. Then I just waited for a week and the dress arrived right on schedule! I showed the dress that I ordered to my daughter and I’m glad that she liked it. She even told me, “Thanks mom! You really know my style.”
I’m so happy that I was able to get her dress because it was the perfect mix of style and elegance while still being a great value for the money. I will definitely recommend this website to all of you. So for all your dress needs, check out the green guide today – you won’t be disappointed!

Be sure to read all the fine print before you buy from The Green Guide. Am kicking myself that I didn’t. Was looking for a Mother-of-the-Bride dress. Ordered one for $89 in a standard size 8 with no alterations (shipping charges were $18.99). They ship it from China. Got it pretty quick. Wasn’t thrilled with dress so wanted to return it. There’s no return address on website. When I looked under FAQ’s, saw there’s a 20% restocking fee (that’s why it’s important to read fine print). I had to email them with questions instead of calling because it was the weekend and office is closed. I emailed 3 specific questions: Address to return dress, do I pay shipping charges, when is my credit card refunded. After several days, got this email from them:
“The factory has been notified regarding your concern. Please wait for our email. Considering the amount of fabric and materials spent and the labor of the tailors, it is just fair to charge a 30% restocking fee. Also, shipping cost is not refundable. We look forward that this is clear.”
The website states it’s a 20% restocking fee. I emailed back with the website link that states it’s a 20% restocking fee. To expedite things, I called the 1-888 number on the website. It’s disconnected. Weird.
So now I’m in a holding pattern waiting for them to respond via email. With the 20% restocking fee plus $19 shipping fee (website says we need to use a specific courier), I’ll be out close to $40. Oh well…lesson learned. Be sure to read fine print!!!

Hey Emily,
I just want to know whether this site can be trusted? Have you bought any dresses online from this site? I just wanted to know 🙂 Because I have doubt about it. I would really appreciate if you reply me.
Thanks, :p
