When I imagine what walking on clouds would feel like, I think of walking on a soft, supple, and  texture. I imagine my feet would move freely and effortlessly. I imagine my feet would feel protected because there wouldn’t be anything to poke or hurt them.

The only thing that comes remotely close to that wonderful hypothetical feeling is minimal footwear. And nobody does minimal footwear like Soft Star Shoes!

Minimal footwear is what is recommended for babies who are learning to stand up and walk. We know it promoted healthy development of bones and muscles but somehow, but somewhere along the way, we seem to forget that adults can also reap the benefits of minimal footwear.

I personally fell in love with the new Solstice Sandals. They come in 3 leather colors: red, black, and aged oak but I opted for the suede moss. I put them on as soon as I opened the box and then I fell in love again with how soft and flexible they are. I typically have sensitive feet and it is almost unheard of for me to find shoes that don’t cause blisters, leave red marks, or that simply become uncomfortable after a little while. This wasn’t the case at all with my Solstice Sandals! I put them on in the morning and wore them all day. I even took a walk with them and experienced no discomfort whatsoever.

The Vibram sole is so flexible, it’s almost like walking barefoot. It’s probably better than walking barefoot outdoors because even though you can slightly feel little bumps and rocks under your feet, there is no risk of hurting or cutting your feet. These sandals are also designed with function in mind: the adjustable strap and the closed back keep them securely in place, no matter whether you’re chasing a toddler or playing hopscotch. They are also very lightweight and my feet stayed nice and cool all day.

Until we can walk on clouds, you can be certain that I’ll get as close as possible to that amazing feeling by wearing my new Solstice sandals! Being almost barefoot yet safely protected provides a totally carefree experience that I recommend to all of you.
