Do you carry a large wallet? I did. I think I could have built a small emergency shelter with all my superflous cards, receipts, business cards, and other miscellaneous items. Seriously when I decided to clean it up, I couldn’t believe how much useless stuff I kept in there. I decided to challenge myself and determine what was really important. I narrowed it down to 6 cards only (2 of which are my daughters’) plus a few notes.

But there’s no point in carrying 6 cards in a huge wallet, right? What I needed was a minimalist wallet. Something slim. Something sleek. Something like a Wally wallet!

Distil Union is a 3-person team that aims to create together products (that’s the union part of their name) by focusing on their essential features and leaving all the extra stuff out (distillation process of sorts!). So far they have 5 sexy minimalist Wally wallets to offer and they plan on inventing new products, not just wallets, all the time.

The way Wally wallets works is that instead of having individual slots of each card, they are only 1 or 2 openings in which to slide all your cards, making the wallet itself very thin. For easy access, you simply pull the tab to reveal all your cards! They are made of soft, supple leather that will look even better with age, and they come in 2 colors: Ninja Black and Cowboy Brown. Yes, that’s the real name for each color! 😉

Considering that I needed to carry a minimum of 6 cards with me at all times, I opted for the Wally Bifold which can carry up to 12 cards as well as notes thanks to a money clip on the inside. Even though other Wallet wallets can fit 6 cards, I prefer the bifold because cards fit on both sides. It was easy for me to separate my 4 cards on one side from my daughters’ on the other side. Each side has a different color tab so I know that I pull the red ribbon to get my cards and the black one to get theirs!

I love the texture and softness of the leather. It is definitely made to last and age nicely, not crack or tear. I haven’t had mine long enough yet but I can’t wait for it to get that old leather look and feel.

It’s such a thin wallet, it can actually bend slightly to fit comfortably either in a front or back pocket. I’m seriously considering getting one for my husband because he always complains about his bulky wallet being uncomfortable when he sits, drives, etc. Seems like a Wally wallet would be the solution!

For those of you who are attached to your smartphones (you know who you are!), I suggest you take a look at the Wally Case and the Wally Jr. They are both designed as sleeves (can fit up to 6 cards) and stick to your phone thanks to 3M Alternahesive™.
