I love all things related to technology. I love to explore new products and test them for you which is why I decided to start a Tech Series where I will share my favorite products with you. Sometimes, they’ll be from the same brand, sometimes, they’ll be from different brands. Sometimes, they’ll be life saver, sometimes, they’ll be fun accessories for specific tasks.

Today, I’ll start with 2 practical tech products: a bluetooth speaker and a portable power supply.

I found that The Macbeth Collection, one of my favorite brands, now offers tech accessories and it was love at first sight with a colorful bluetooth speaker! This cute portable speaker is packed with great features, and it’s looks great too. It’s not a boring dull color, oh no, it’s purple and coral, and yellow and white. I love it!

This colorful little machine delivers in terms of sound quality. I was surprised because I didn’t expect the sound to be so clear. It can be plugged in a smartphone using the cable included, or more conveniently, used wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. It charges by plugging it into your computer’s USB port (or any other USB port for that matter).

It plays for 4-6 hours on a single charge which is great if you want to bring it along somewhere you won’t be able to charge it. At the park for a picnic, at the beach, or simply in the backyard for a BBQ party. It’s also small enough that it can fit into any bag or any purse along with your smartphone.

When it is plugged directly in your phone, you can control the volume and skip tracks using your phone like you normally would but what’s nice is that the speaker also has all those buttons so when it’s on Bluetooth, you can control everything directly on the speaker. And did I mention that you can actually answer and end calls directly on your speaker? Yes, it does that too. So it turns any smartphone into a speaker phone which a much better sound quality that the speaker function on your phone.

As for the range, the speaker will pick up the wireless signal up to 33ft. Of course, if you want to get that range, you have to make sure there’s a direct line of sight between speaker and phone and I also found that it works best if neither the speaker nor the phone are moving otherwise the sound can get a little choppy. I love to use it to replace the not-so-great speakers on my laptop when I watch YouTube videos or shows online. It’s so much clearer and the range in terms of volume is much better that what I get with my laptop.

The second product I want to present is also from The Macbeth Collection – I really do love their products that much. It’s a Power Bank which is basically a portable power supply. Because you can never go wrong with colorful accessories, I chose the same vibrant print as the speaker (it’s called Zoey Coral).

So what does a Power Bank do? It’s basically a battery that allows you to recharge your smartphone and other 1 Amp devices. It’s super convenient when you know you’ll be using your phone a lot and won’t be able to charge it for a while. For example, if you’re out with the girls shopping for a whole day, texting, snapping pictures, when you realize you forgot to charge your phone the night before. It happens to me all the time! Please tell me I’m not the only one…

All you have to do is charge your Power Bank right when you get it, drop it in your purse (it’s compact enough to fit even in a small clutch) and forget about it… until you need it! I know a lot of you will be travelling around Thanksgiving and around the holidays. Make sure you never have to worry about a dead battery with a Power Bank!
