*I was sent a Mira fitness tracker for review. All opinions are my own.
Shortly after I decided to make some healthy lifestyle changes, I started reading a lot of healthy food and fitness forum posts. I saw lots of discussion about various fitness trackers and they caught my eye. So, when I was offered the chance to try out the Mira Fitness tracker – a fashionable fitness tracker aimed specifically at women I eagerly said yes.
The Mira fitness tracker tracks your steps and locks into a fashionable bracelet that comes in brushed gold or midnight purple. It also comes in three sizes – petite, small or medium. I used the sizing chart to discover that I was a size small and went with purple.
The bracelet is pretty simple and can be bent to better adjust to your specific wrist. The charger simply attaches to your computer via USB drive and the tracker snaps in to recharge. The Mira tracker has a unique function called “boosts” which you can check out when you’re in need of motivation and they will send you words of encouragement to keep you going.
If you don’t want to wear the Mira on your wrist you can clip it to a shirt collar, beltloop, bra strap or a front pocket on your pants. Right now Mira functions with Ios devices that use iOS 7 and above including iPhone 4s and above, iPad 3rd generation and above, iPad mini, and iPod touch 5th generation.
The only iOS device that I own is an iPad which I am not in the habit of using very often so I have to confess that I’ve been bad about using the app very much. To fully utilize the Mira it would be best to use the app regularly to track your calorie intake which I haven’t gotten in the habit of doing. You should also use the app to track physical activity that isn’t step-based such as yoga, biking, weight lifting, etc. However, I’ve read from lots of others that fitness trackers in general are designed for people who regularly use their smartphone or tablet and are open to imputing their data in the app a few times per day, so I think I would find this same struggle with any tracker. The tracker is still a nice way to get a rough idea of how much physical activity I have had each day, and how one day compares with the next so I know when I need to step up my activity level.
The charge lasts for a few days at a time which is really convenient.
If you’re looking for a more feminine fitness tracker that has the added bonus of providing you with motivation I would definitely recommend the Mira fitness bracelet.

I’m seeing prices drop on these fitness trackers so I’m starting to get interested and comparing them since they are more affordable to me now. This one is lovely but I would sacrifice looks if they cost a bit less. I know you have to be disciplined wearing it and tracking your data so you actually benefit. Thanks for the review.

I received a Fitbit for my birthday. I made a goal of 10,000 steps per day and it’s really motivating me to get that in. My kids even check my app on my phone to see if I reached my goal.
