I love beef jerky. It’s one of my favorite foods and since I began working out and watching what I eat, I’ve been eating more jerky. Out of my top 5 foods, it’s the only one that has a brag-worthy nutritional profile so I let myself indulge in it pretty regularly.
Grandpa’s Jerky is a brand that was founded with a concept that is pretty well described in the name. “Grandpa” loved making jerky and was really selective about making high quality jerky so he edited his recipes over and over until he got them just right. the Grandpa’s Jerky brand has been around since 1989 and uses his top recipes in their jerky products. The line includes some unique flavors like cherry chili and blueberry habanero as well as more classic flavors like ghost pepper and original hickory. You can purchase Grandpa’s jerky directly from their website as a one-time purchase or you can sign up for their regular subscription shipments.
If you’re like me and like indulging in jerky regularly you can choose between their different subscription options which include different amounts of jerky for different amounts of jerky. All of the subscriptions are slightly cheaper if you sign up for a full year at once as opposed to paying monthly.
My subscription included three varieties of Grandpa’s Jerky. Each package is 2.55 oz. Each flavor has a hot meter from 1-4 peppers. I like spicy jerky that isn’t too sweet and all three of these flavors went over well with my boyfriend and I both. The thickness and texture were great – not too soft or too tough. The flavor was evident without the ‘hot’ part overtaking the flavor of the meat itself. We’re definitely fans of Grandpa’s jerky!

We also are huge fan of jerky. My husband would like the hotter stuff, I stick with mild. Protein is a great food and jerky in particular as it is so portable. I like how you can choose the size of box you want and the types of jerky. Looks greaat!
