Thank you to Cartoon Network for providing me with product, free of charge, in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Cartoon Network has a new animated show called Powerpuff Girls. My daughters (ages 7 and 9 years old) love this show! They say the characters are “cute and have bubbly personalities.” They enjoy watching the adventures that each episode brings.

My understanding of the Powerpuff Girls show is that the characters Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles try to balance a very busy lifestyle. They go to school, work, fight bad guys and try daily to save the world. They somehow do all of this before bedtime!

Here is a video clip of the Powerpuff Girls show from Cartoon Network.  In this episode, Blossom and Buttercup  are having a disagreement over who gets to join Bubbles at a music concert. In the end, the girls put aside their differences to help save the Mayor after his plane crashed on Monster Island.

Just in time for back to school shopping, Cartoon Network has designed two Powerpuff Girls backpacks. The backpacks are being sold exclusively at Toys”R”Us. Both Powerpuff Girl backpacks are 16″ in size. They have a large pocket, a smaller pocket on the front of the bag and two exterior mesh side pockets.  The Powerpuff Girls backpacks are available in two different patterns- Powerpuff Girls Rock and Powerpuff Girls All Over.

We received one of each of the Powerpuff Girls backpacks. The girls decided that these backpacks would be perfect for storing and transporting all of their gear for extra-curricular activities.

Those are cute backpacks. Are they comfortable for the girls to wear?

    • Sarah L, they wore the backpacks last weekend when we went on a road trip. They had them loaded with books, crayons, stuffies and so on. I didn’t hear any complaining about them being uncomfortable…so that’s a good sign. They are a bit smaller than the standard backpack.

Powerpuff Girls are fun – these are so nice and a good size, too! They look like they’ll hold up to lugging everything, and well supported, so it is good for their posture.

I really like the patterns on these and how bright they are. They look like a comfortable and sturdy backpack without being really huge. Adorable designs!

We don’t have the Cartoon Network, but I love the Powderpuff Girls concept as a strong role model for girls. Having the weight of the gear distributed over both shoulders and back is so much better for the kids than lugging it on one arm/side–I know! Bonus that they are so cute too.
